Exploring the Vietnam-Thailand Cultural and Culinary Space at Hue Heritage Festival 2026

A vibrant cultural exchange space between Vietnam and Thailand has officially opened in Hue city, gathering experiences in culinary arts, music, traditional games, and community art. It serves as an attractive destination for residents and tourists during this year's September 2nd National Day holiday.

The event takes place from August 28th to September 1st in the To Huu - Ly Tu Trong area, as part of the Hue International Heritage and Music Festival 2026 organized by the Hue Department of Tourism. Booths are arranged in an open-concept layout, allowing visitors to explore the traditional cultural beauty of both nations with ease.

A major highlight is the live culinary demonstration sessions, particularly the presentation of Pad Thai, which provides visitors with a firsthand look at the preparation process of a symbolic Thai dish. These demonstrations act as both a tasting experience and a vivid method of cultural storytelling.

Beyond the culinary offerings, the festival integrates various other experiences such as 'bai choi' singing, 'to he' figurine making, traditional craft villages, and the 'Draw All You Can' community painting activity. In the evenings, Acoustic music performances create a relaxing atmosphere that bridges cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities.

The Hue Department of Tourism stated that these activities not only enrich local tourism products but also play a significant role in promoting the cultural and culinary values of Hue internationally, while strengthening cultural and tourism cooperation between countries.
