Gold Bar Jelly Creations: A Popular Ritual Trend for Wealth God Day in Ca Mau

On February 7 (the 10th day of the Lunar New Year), marking the God of Wealth Day, many consumers in Ca Mau have chosen gold bar-shaped jelly as a meaningful offering instead of real gold. This unique product is the creation of Ms. Nguyen Thuy Nhu (36), from Ly Van Lam Commune, Ca Mau City, who skillfully transformed traditional desserts into offerings that convey wishes for prosperity.

To create these eye-catching jelly gold bars, Ms. Nhu uses natural ingredients such as coconut milk, pandan leaves, corn, and gac fruit. According to customer Le Hong Thu, choosing gold bar-shaped jelly not only signifies hopes for a prosperous year but is also a budget-friendly option, allowing every household to prepare a formal offering on this day.

With over 5 years of experience selling on social media platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, and TikTok, Ms. Nhu has built her reputation through meticulous attention to every product. She shared: “Despite high market demand during holidays and Tet, I still prioritize manual production to ensure quality. I value reputation over quantity, so I only accept a certain number of orders per day to ensure the products delivered to customers are always fresh.”

Currently, Ms. Nhu's product catalog is diverse, including layered jelly, marbled jelly, mooncake-shaped jelly, and designs featuring lucky characters like 'Wealth' and 'Prosperity'. Priced between 100,000 and 120,000 VND per portion, hundreds of orders have been sold since the 6th day of the Lunar New Year, attracting numerous customers not only in Ca Mau but also from the Mekong Delta provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.
