2026 Mid-Autumn Festival Market: A Showcase of Cultural Heritage and Premium Gastronomy

Although the Mid-Autumn Festival is over two months away, the 2026 mooncake market has already become vibrant. Manufacturers and retail systems have begun launching new products, preparing supply chains for this year's gifting season.

Since mid-June, major brands like Kinh Do and Huu Nghi have introduced luxurious designs, emphasizing corporate logo customization. Beyond traditional flavors, this year's trend focuses on low-sugar options and the inclusion of nutritious ingredients such as chia seeds and blueberries.

In the premium gift segment, 5-star hotels are leading in quality through artisanal production processes conducted directly on-site. A representative from the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel stated that by early August, orders had exceeded 50% of the seasonal target, reflecting strong demand from the corporate sector.

Celebrating 30 years of excellence, the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel has launched the “Nguyệt Hạ Mộc Lan” (Moonlit Magnolia) collection. The combination of lotus seeds, green tea, and two new flavors—cashew nut and premium mixed nuts—creates a sophisticated balance for their six carefully selected mooncakes.

Aiming for sustainable development, Novotel Hanoi Thai Ha has introduced the “Nguyệt Sắc Hoa Niên” collection, featuring eco-friendly packaging in a signature green hue. Modern flavors such as Bamboo Charcoal Cheese and Blueberry Cheese are setting a distinct presence in the market.

Hilton Saigon presents the “Bội Nguyệt Lưu” collection, inspired by moonlight reflecting on the Saigon River. Meanwhile, the JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon impresses with the “Nguyệt Phục Minh” collection, tiered across three segments and featuring high-end Shan Tuyết tea as a signature element.

Finally, Hôtel Des Arts Saigon continues to uphold its artistic legacy with the “Muse des Arts” collection, where mooncakes are presented in exquisite lacquerware boxes designed like luxury jewelry cases, celebrating the timeless beauty of the Vietnamese Ao Dai.
