Ministry of Health warns of advertising violations by Love World Nutrition slimming coffee

The Vietnam Food Administration (VFA), under the Ministry of Health, has issued a warning regarding 'Love World Nutrition Coffee,' a food supplement declared by D&H RETEK USA Co., Ltd. The product is currently under close surveillance due to signs of serious violations in its online advertising content.

According to official records, the product is manufactured by Mr. Chi Technology Co., Ltd., located at 9/46 Hanoi Highway, Tang Nhon Phu Ward, HCMC. The entity responsible for the product is D&H RETEK USA Co., Ltd. (based at 7 B6 Street, Bay Hien Ward, HCMC). The product is currently widely available for sale on the Shopee e-commerce platform and various other online channels.

During the review process, authorities noted that the product was promoted with hyperbolic claims, such as eliminating toxins, burning excess fat (especially abdominal fat), boosting immunity, and preventing obesity. The VFA emphasized that using language that misleads consumers about a product's true efficacy constitutes a violation of existing food advertising regulations.

To protect public health, the VFA has requested the HCMC Food Safety Department to cross-reference actual advertising content with the product's self-declaration dossier. In case of violations, authorities will inspect the business operations of the involved entities and impose strict penalties in accordance with the law.

Previously, many weight-loss teas and coffees of unknown origin have been found to contain banned substances, leading to severe health complications such as brain damage, liver failure, and kidney failure. Medical experts advise consumers to remain vigilant and avoid placing faith in advertisements that exaggerate the benefits of food supplements to prevent regrettable incidents of poisoning.
