A video recently circulated on social media, showing what appeared to be maggots crawling within a chicken dish at a housewarming party in Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province. Following the public outcry, local authorities have moved quickly to intervene.

On the morning of July 28, Mr. Y Ngon Nie, Chairman of the Ea Ktur People's Committee, confirmed that authorities had summoned the owner of the 'Ni Ya' catering facility for a formal inquiry. Mr. Y Ngon stated that professional teams have visited the facility to inspect the site, verify the source of the raw food materials, and evaluate the preparation process to ensure findings are accurate before determining the appropriate regulatory action.

Mr. Y Ngon stated, 'We are conducting an immediate and direct investigation to gather precise information. Once results are obtained, we will transparently inform the media.' It is known that the housewarming party involved approximately 70 tables, attracting significant local concern.

The social media footage captured organisms suspected to be maggots crawling in chicken meat as the dish was being heated. This incident not only raises alarms regarding food safety standards but also questions the accountability of mobile catering services. Authorities continue to collaborate with all relevant parties to clarify the matter and will strictly enforce penalties if violations of food safety regulations are confirmed.
