HanoiCheck: Digital solution to enhance school meal quality in Hanoi
The HanoiCheck system applies AI and digital transformation to monitor processing procedures and ensure food traceability in Hanoi school kitchens.

Every day, millions of school meals are prepared nationwide, making this a top priority for parents. However, verifying food quality and kitchen procedures remains a significant challenge. Parents like Nguyen Thu Ha (Cau Giay District) and Tran Minh Quan (Ha Dong District) have expressed a strong desire for a transparent process where ingredient sourcing and food preparation are strictly monitored.

The HanoiCheck solution aims to realize the goal of managing school meals on a digital platform. The breakthrough of this system is the integration of AI cameras in kitchen areas, allowing real-time monitoring of all stages from material reception and processing to portioning. All data is digitized, helping schools manage operations scientifically and consistently, while supporting authorities in improving food safety oversight.

Starting August 6, 2026, the portal https://dangky.hanoicheck.com.vn officially began accepting applications from businesses, cooperatives, food suppliers, and catering services. In accordance with Guideline No. 02/HD-BCĐ of the Hanoi Food Safety Steering Committee, units are required to standardize their capacity profiles, food safety certificates, employee health records, and documents proving food traceability.

In the 2026-2027 school year, HanoiCheck will be implemented at 100% of educational institutions with boarding school kitchens. Shifting from the traditional model where schools directly contract providers to a centralized management system under the supervision of commune/ward People's Committees enhances accountability and transparency. This is a crucial step in the digital transformation of the education sector, ensuring sustainable nutrition and health for students in the capital.
