For the 2026 mid-autumn season, the diversity and artisanal production methods have made high-end hotel mooncakes a preferred choice for consumers. With stringent requirements for ingredients, clean production conditions, and traceability, these products cater to the increasingly sophisticated market demand.

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 25th, earlier than in previous years, significantly shortening the sales window. Since June and early July, many enterprises have placed bulk orders for corporate gifting, forcing producers to accelerate timelines and launch products earlier than planned.

Capitalizing on the trend of investing in the gifting segment, hotels are focusing not only on quality but also on elaborate packaging. The Hanoi Hotel has officially launched its 2026 'Éclat' collection. Inspired by a mystical chrysanthemum garden, the collection features a striking blue-pink palette and vivid 3D embossed technology on each box.

Executive Chef Li Jian Chuan and his team of artisans have spent months perfecting four low-sugar flavors, preserving the authentic Hong Kong mooncake heritage. Diners can choose from pure White Lotus, nostalgic Red Bean with citrus peel, nutty Black Sesame, and the traditional Five-Nut variety.

According to Chef Li Jian Chuan, a standard mooncake must feature a golden, smooth, and thin crust, ensuring a perfect balance between the sweetness of the filling and the savoriness of the salted egg. Artisans prepare them by hand in three different sizes to meet diverse consumption needs.

To elevate the experience, the collection is paired with elegant lotus tea and subtle jasmine Oolong tea. This pairing helps balance the palate and aids digestion during the full moon festivities.

The collection is priced from 968,000 VND per box and is officially available at the Mooncake Studio, 1st Floor, Hanoi Hotel, from August 11, 2026.
