Hanoi Implements HanoiCheck System and AI Cameras for School Food Safety Monitoring
Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 4420/QD-UBND, officially launching the HanoiCheck system and AI camera applications to digitize food safety management in schools.
To standardize and tighten the management of school meals, the Hanoi People's Committee officially issued Decision No. 4420/QD-UBND on August 21st. This document details the management and operation of the 'Database System for Nutrition and School Food Safety for the 2026-2027 Academic Year', known as HanoiCheck, aimed at creating a transparent data ecosystem within the educational environment.
According to the new regulations, HanoiCheck is built on a centralized management model that integrates various departments including Education and Training, Health, Agriculture and Rural Development, and local authorities. The system focuses on fully digitizing food safety control processes, from raw material reception, three-step food inspection, and food sample retention to monitoring daily kitchen operation logs.
A technological highlight of the regulation is the integration of AI cameras in school kitchens. The application of artificial intelligence aims to enhance visual monitoring effectiveness, ensuring all processing activities strictly comply with current technical standards. Simultaneously, the system stores electronic individual nutritional records, ensuring privacy and student data protection in accordance with cybersecurity regulations.
HanoiCheck applies mandatory identification principles for all organizations and individuals participating in the operation. Notably, the system establishes a mechanism to automatically suspend or lock accounts and disconnect suppliers when contract violations occur or upon request from competent authorities during inspections or food safety incident handling, contributing to a 'digital shield' protecting school health.
