Over 170 Officials in Dong Thap Receive Professional Training in Food Safety Inspection

On August 17, the Government Inspectorate's School of Inspectors successfully organized the 10th professional training course for 2026 on food safety inspection in Dong Thap province. The program attracted over 170 participants, all of whom are officials directly involved in state management and inspection of food safety at the local level.

As the regulatory framework for food safety continues to evolve to meet practical demands, updating professional knowledge has become a critical necessity. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, Vice Rector of the School of Inspectors, emphasized that specialized inspection plays a vital role in both protecting consumer health and enhancing the effectiveness of state management. In particular, the implementation of Decree 217/2025/ND-CP introduces new standards for inspection methodologies, necessitating stronger professional capacities for enforcing officers.

The training curriculum focuses on practical skill sets, including inspection procedures, regulatory authority during field missions, document drafting techniques, and the handling of administrative violations. A key highlight of the course is the case study sessions, which enable participants to identify risks and resolve common challenges encountered at food production and business facilities.

Through this training, the officials in Dong Thap are expected to minimize procedural errors, contribute to a healthy food business environment, and timely address violations, thereby ensuring the best possible protection for public health and consumer interests.
