Michelin Guide 2026 Celebrates a Century of Global Culinary Excellence

The announcement ceremony for the Michelin Guide Vietnam 2026 selected restaurants will take place on June 4th at The Ascott Tay Ho, Hanoi. This fourth edition promises to unveil the latest curated list of exceptional culinary destinations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

This year's event holds special historical significance as it joins the global culinary community in celebrating the centennial of the Michelin Star. Since the Michelin Star rating system was officially introduced in 1926, the guide has continuously honored haute cuisine and recognized restaurants that deliver outstanding dining experiences.

The event will bring together renowned chefs, restaurant management teams, industry experts, and media representatives. Following the success of the 2025 model, the program includes the official announcement ceremony, followed by a premium cocktail reception and a live broadcast to reach a wider audience of food enthusiasts.

In 2025, the Michelin Guide honored 181 restaurants in Vietnam. Moving into 2026, the event continues to serve as a bridge for chefs and restaurant owners to network and share inspiration. The event features distinguished guest chefs from the region, including Stefan Stiller (Taian Table), Garima Arora (Gaa), Rodrigo Andres Osorio (Asador Alfonso), alongside Vietnamese talents such as Viet Hong Le (CieL), Sam Tran (Gia), and Yamaguchi Hiroshi (Hibana by Koki).

All restaurants in the selection remain subject to evaluation by Michelin Guide's anonymous inspectors, adhering to five global criteria: quality of ingredients, mastery of cooking techniques, harmony of flavors, the chef's personality expressed through the dishes, and consistency across the menu and over time.
